The Spruce Head Club was founded in 1922, and land was deeded to the club the same year. Volunteers built the Hall in 1923 with donated materials and funds raised from memorable dances held in the old Union Hall, located just across the street.
Several years of active participation were followed by a long period of inactivity . . . until 1981, when regular events once again filled the Hall.
In 2013, the organization was incorporated as the Spruce Head Community Hall and Historical Association, followed by the achievement of 501(c)(3) status in 2014. In 2023, a lively, well-attended contradance was the highlight of monthly events commemorating the Hall's Centennial.
And now . . . into the future we go!
